Alex,
I'd really like some feedback about this one.
msg is one IM front end of a number of networks which (I'm trying to understand) might be stitched together (at a user's end) with (open) Skype-like tools.
I've got a Gizmo client open at the moment. It looks and works much like Skype, including voice conferences. It allows me to search and find (if I had them) contacts from a few IM networks = msn, qq, aim, gadu-gadu, yahoo, myspace, who are using gizmo. They're adding more weekly. Google's coming.
If
msg were included on this network list and we were to do some configuring, could I click on a green
msg button and use the gizmo network as a 'place' to chat, group chat, talk, conference, etc? I'm mentioning this because Gizmo's daddy has this idea about a global uni phone network =
GUPS. I'm asking similar questions
at their forums, where I've mentioned what you've done here so far; same aims as i can see, but on a local level.
We've got
some movement now with some leading lights in the telco space, so (from OU's perspective) taking the
msg IM network into the global space and working through connecting the domain-centric, seems like the next logical step towards an all IP world. Thoughts?
